1. Introduction

Welcome to Language Companion. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Language Companion website and app (collectively, the "Service"), located at https://languagecompanion.app. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you do not have permission to access the Service.

2. Use License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Language Companion grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for generating high fidelity flashcards for personal study only.

3. Ownership and Restrictions

You acknowledge that Language Companion retains ownership of all card data generated through the Service. While you are free to download your cards for personal study, you are not permitted to resell, distribute, or otherwise make commercial use of the card data. Language Companion reserves all rights not expressly granted to you under these Terms.

4. User Data and Privacy

By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of personal and non-personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy, accessible at https://languagecompanion.app/privacy-policy. This includes, but is not limited to, your name, email, and payment information, as well as web cookies.

5. Purchases and Refunds

Credits purchased can be used to generate and download flashcards. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, you may request a full refund within 7 days after the purchase date. After this period, all purchases are considered final.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

You are solely responsible for ensuring that any data you use in connection with the Service does not infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others. Language Companion will not be liable for any breach of copyright or intellectual property rights resulting from your use of the Service.

7. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any changes by email. By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
